1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 4-Speed

This 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 is finished in blue with gold accents over black vinyl upholstery, and it is powered by a replacement Cleveland 351ci V8 linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a 9″ rear axle. Acquired in 2009 by the seller, the car was serviced with a replacement transmission, fuel tank, and front disc brakes in 2014, and the engine was overhauled in December 2021. Features include a black hood treatment, a hood scoop, hood pins, side stripes, side scoops, rear window louvers, a rear wing, 15″ Magnum 500-style wheels, power steering, woodgrain interior trim, and a Philco AM radio. This Mustang Mach 1 is now offered with removed parts, service receipts, and a clean North Carolina title in the seller’s name.

The car was refinished in its current shade of blue with gold accents under prior ownership according to the seller. Equipment includes a hood scoop, grille-mounted indicator lights, chrome bumpers, Mach 1 rocker moldings, a rear wing, quad exhaust outlets, and rear window louvers.

Magnum 500-style 15″ wheels are mounted with 235/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A white-letter tires. The car is also equipped with power steering, and power-assisted front disc brakes were installed in 2014.

The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl with pleated knit inserts. Features include woodgrain trim, a clock mounted above the glovebox, and a Philco AM radio. The seller notes that the horn, radio, clock, and heater fan are not working.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 56k miles, approximately 2k of which were added by the seller.

Installed during previous ownership and equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and a dual exhaust system, the Cleveland 351ci V8 was overhauled in a December 2021 service at Hot Rod Etc in King, North Carolina, that included fitting a Comp Cams valvetrain kit and replacing the oil and fuel pumps as well as machining the cylinder heads. The fuel tank and sending unit were replaced in a 2014 service. Corrosion is present on the battery tray.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a 9″ rear end with a 3.25:1 final drive ratio. An automatic transmission had been fitted under previous ownership, and it was replaced with a rebuilt four-speed transmission in a 2014 service along with a clutch kit and linkage. Corrosion is noted on underbody components, and additional photos of the underside are provided in the image gallery.

The warranty number reveals that the car was built in the Metuchen, New Jersey, assembly plant and was factory equipped with a 351ci V8 with a four-barrel carburetor. Decoding the trim tag reveals the following information:
