This 2005 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren has remained registered in California since new and now has 4,500 miles. It is powered by a supercharged 5.4-liter M155 V8 mated to an AMG Speedshift R five-speed automatic transmission and is finished in Crystal Laurite Silver over 300SL Red Silver Arrow leather upholstery. Equipment includes asymmetrical 19″ turbine-spoke alloy wheels, carbon-ceramic disc brakes, butterfly doors, a deployable rear spoiler, carbon-fiber power-adjustable seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a car phone, and a six-disc CD stereo linked with a Bose sound system. The car was acquired by the selling dealer in 2023, and subsequent service involved refreshing the fluids as well as replacing the tires along with the engine and supercharger drive belts. This SLR McLaren is offered with manufacturer’s literature, a window sticker, a Vehicle Master Inquiry report, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title.

The SLR was assembled with a carbon-fiber monocoque and crash structures, and this example is finished in Crystal Laurite Silver. Features include upward-opening butterfly doors, integrated fog lights, heated side mirrors, twin side-exhaust outlets behind each front wheel, a rear diffuser, and an electronically deployed rear spoiler air brake.

Asymmetrical turbine-style 19″ alloy wheels are wrapped in 255/35 front and 295/30 rear Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires that were mounted in preparation for the sale. Stopping power is provided by silver Mercedes-Benz-branded calipers over carbon-ceramic rotors at all four corners, and the car is equipped with a Sensotronic Brake Control system (SBC). The front wheels were repaired and the brake fluid was flushed in September 2023.

The cabin houses power-adjustable carbon-fiber seats trimmed in 300SL Red Silver Arrow leather that extends to the center console, dashboard, and door panel inserts. Aluminum trim adorns the interior, and additional appointments include dual-zone automatic climate control, a shift knob-mounted starter button, a Motorola car phone, and a factory stereo linked with a trunk-mounted CD changer and a Bose sound system.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames McLaren-branded instrumentation including a 220-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 7k-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 4,500 miles, approximately 150 of which were added by the selling dealer.

The front-mid-mounted 5.4-liter M155 V8 was factory rated at 617 horsepower and 575 lb-ft of torque and features all-aluminum construction, 24 valves, dry-sump lubrication, and a Lysholm-type twin-screw supercharger. Service in September 2023 involved flushing the coolant, performing an oil change, and replacing the air filters along with the engine and supercharger drive belts.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through an AMG Speedshift R five-speed automatic transmission. The gear oil and differential fluid were refreshed in September 2023.

The window sticker lists initial delivery to Chambers Motorcars of Boston, Massachusetts, along with factory equipment, colors, and a total retail price of $465,650.

Manufacturer’s literature, a Vehicle Master Inquiry report, a car cover, and a first aid kit will accompany the sale.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists registration history in California.
