Angry Nerd: Mr. Peabody and Other Idiotic Reboots of Classic Toons

Pertinent question about the upcoming Mr. Peabody & Sherman animated feature: Why? This is a half-century-old cartoon with no brand recognition, does it need a new full-length movie incarnation? Who is this movie for? But more to the point, expensive reboots of classic kiddie cartoons tend to take away the things that made the original shows memorable—their indescribable weirdness.
