After being closed for four months, the national Picasso Museum in Paris is finally reopening its doors and doubling down by offering two eagerly awaited exhibitions, originally scheduled for March 24. The silver-lining ? Little-known sections of Picasso's artwork help us discover him further as a poet and muse of comic book authors.
Picasso and the world of comics
This season, The Picasso Museum in Paris confronts two opposite art forms. From Pablo Picasso's giant artworks to his secret world of comics, this exhibition is one of the first to bring these two subjects to life. Picasso and the comics bring back the sketches from the most famous comic-book artists such as Hergé, Edgar P. Jacobs and even Milo Manara. An imaginative museum with a surprise at each corner.

Picasso the poet
Among the many talents of the Spanish artist, his poetic writings are one of the least discussed works of Picasso, but arguably the most fascinating. Picasso was the friend of many poets and writers who have more or less inspired him over the ages. The Picasso Museum in Paris looks back on this little-known part of Picasso's work-life by featuring a guide embellished with many handwritten poems, drawings and paintings that highlight the promise and the great freedom, of the poet Picasso's dance with language.
